Descriptions
"Window Frost 1&2": The benefit of having poorly insulated windows in your apartment is that some nice looking frost can build up.
"Beaver Damage 1, 2, and 3", "Swamp": A good illustration of what beavers can do to trees, and the flooding that they can cause.
"Walking on Thin Ice": While crossing a stream during a hunting trip, I noticed that the ice was almost as clear as glass, and you could see the rocks below. It cracked as I crossed over (the stream was only a few inches deep).
"Crash": An accident I had in 2001 with my 2000 Civic. While crossing an intersection, I went head-on into another car turning (illegally) in front of me. My car was a total loss (it only had 6000 kms on it!), but I literally opened the door and walked out. My nose was sore from the impact with the airbag, and I had some pain and red bruising across my chest from the seatbelt, but that was it. My coffee thermos that was on the floor on the other hand, didn't fare so well as the handle broke off, and the key in the ignition bent (probably hit by my knee, although it wasn't sore). It's all good though, as my insurance gave me a brand new 2001.
"Truck Accident": An accident that occurred February 22, 2007 on Highway 20 in Montreal. The tractor-trailer had rolled over on its right side, and half of it was hanging over the edge of the elevated portion of the highway. It was loaded with fifty-five thousand pounds of paper rolls, and the highway was closed for several hours while road crews cleaned up the mess. Only the truck driver was slightly injured.
