Descriptions
"Olympic Stadium1-3": The 56,000 seat Olympic Stadium, so named because it was built to host the 1976 Olympics. It has a retractable roof which is supported by the world's tallest inclined tower. You can ride an elevator to the top, where there's an observation deck. Sadly, cost overruns made it the world's most expensive stadium (over one and a half billion dollars!) and worse yet, since we lost our beloved Montreal Expos, it's hardly ever used.
"Biodome": At the foot of the Olympic Stadium is the Biodome, an indoor zoo with different environments, from tropical to arctic.
"Habitat1-4": On the road to the Montreal Casino, you'll see Habitat '67, a housing complex-turned-condo featuring modular units. The 4th one is the view from the Montreal side of the river.
"The Illuminated Crowd 1&2": Two views of a statue in downtown Montreal, on McGill College street. The plaque reads: "A crowd has gathered, facing a light, an illumination brought about by a fire, an event, an ideology - or an ideal. The strong light casts shadows, and as the light moves toward the back and diminishes, the mood degenerates; rowdiness, disorder and violence occur, showing the fragile nature of man. Illumination, hope, involvement, hilarity, irritation, fear, illness, violence, murder and death - the flow of man's emotion through space."
